What We Do

NSC offers academic activities, such as seminars, colloquies, and lectures, to introduce students to the vital heritage of Christian thought. It trains students to integrate their faith and their learning by providing opportunities to engage in thoughtful, honest discussions around life’s most important and meaningful questions. It also provides resources to help students and faculty to think Christianly about their scholarship and teaching. All of this is carried out on a foundation of intellectual and practical hospitality.

Lectures

Nicaea Study Center hosts lectures by scholars and intellectuals exploring the unity of the life of faith and intellectual life and modeling the integration of faith and scholarship.

Reading Groups

NSC offers book studies exploring the Christian intellectual tradition and its relevance to the twenty-first-century world. Readings consider the roots of Christian faith and belief, Christianity and contemporary issues, the interaction between Christian learning and a wide range of worldviews and intellectual traditions, and life’s most enduring questions.

The life of the mind for the life of faith.
